Summary
This position is in Kitchener, Ontario.
Reporting to the Project Manager, this role works closely with the VP of Substations & Special Projects, Project Management Team, Construction Supervisors and Operations for the successful delivery of Iconic Projects.
The Project Coordinator role is responsible for the day-to-day administration for project-based submissions, including but not limited to project schedule, change management log/documentations, RFI submissions and tracking, document control, quantity accruals, invoice, cash flow, and forecast updates, client reports preparation, logistics management and the preparation and updating of project scheduling.
Qualifications
- College or University Degree are an asset for this role. Related experience can be taken into consideration.
- 5+ years in a project-based role.
- Design Build Experience is a positive factor in Iconic Power Systems project work.
Skills
- Able to understand workplace-based problems and analyze them to develop appropriate solutions. You demonstrate superior judgement in all areas of client interaction and finding solutions with construction personnel and the management team.
- General knowledge high voltage construction, civil earthworks and financial acumen required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety practices and procedures in a safety focused workplace.
- Excellent organization and planning skills. There are multiple client reporting formats in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient communication and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders on the project.
- Knowledge of Construction Project lifecycle
Duties
- Under direction from the Project Manager, this role works closely with the Construction Supervisors and Operations to support successful project and construction execution as well as development and submission of information to the client.
- The Project Coordinator role is responsible for the day-to-day administration for project-based submissions, including but not limited to project schedules, site administration/coordination, change management documentation, RFI submissions and tracking, document control, invoicing, client reports preparation, and logistics management.
- Preparation/update of Project Schedules is required utilizing Microsoft Project and or Excel
- Maintain tidy and accurate project documentation.
- Work closely with Project Controller and Project Managers to ensure internal and external deliverables are met.
- Interact with the client in a manner which fosters strong client satisfaction ratings.
- Ensure a good working knowledge of company resources and the workflow throughout the project life cycle.
- Ensure equipment and Materials for the project are procured through close collaboration with the Project Manager and Procurement
- Ensure Project Managers have adequate support to produce accurate and timely reporting.
- Ensure Construction Supervisors and Operations have proper permits, equipment, and material on site for execution.
