Our Financial Management Department is looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join the team.
Position Responsibilities
The Accounts Receivable Clerk will work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure the accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of financial information for the City of Grande Prairie.
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Clerk's main responsibilities include:

Review of customer invoice requisition form for accuracy of account coding, GST allocation and supporting documentation,

Creation of customer invoice in Oracle based on departmental submissions,

Review of Accounts Receivable aging report and coordinating with departments and/or customers on collection of outstanding balances,

Processing of payments on account,

Updating of year end work papers and communication with Auditors for Accounts Receivable processes, and
-
Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess either a minimum of five years of directly related work experience in an Accounts Receivable role or a Diploma in Business Administration (or related field) along with two years directly related work experience. Prior work experience with a municipality is an asset, but is not required.
Candidates should have strong customer service, co-ordination, organization, communication and self-management skills. Demonstrated effectiveness in providing exceptional client service using excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates should have the ability to work and solve problems independently; as well as, within a team environment.
Hours
The standard workweek consists of an average of 35 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.
Compensation
Salary range of $29.88 to $38.65 as per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement
