Position Details

The Information Technology Services department at the University of Lethbridge is seeking applications for the position of Process Automation Analyst. This is a full-time, continuing position located at our Lethbridge campus. Preference will be given to candidates who will work significant portions of this role at the Lethbridge campus, but we will also consider hybrid work arrangements for Alberta-based candidates where visits to the Lethbridge campus would be less regular.

As the University moves toward streamlining and modernization of its processes, IT Services is looking to provide systems and technology that help make our institution more efficient and deliver a more seamless & connected experience. Reporting to the Director, Applications, the Process Automation Analyst will play a key role in automating numerous processes across campus, including those involving students, faculty, and staff. This position will be primarily responsible for the design, implementation, operation and ongoing evolution of various automated processes, as well as the platforms that support these processes.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.

Position Qualifications

Along with strong analytical and planning skills, the successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field such as training or certification in Business Analysis or Process analysis. This individual will have proven experience in requirements gathering, process analysis and design, as well as leveraging technology platforms to build and automate processes. Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience with modern development, workflow or integrations platforms. Experience with web development technologies and project management would also be an asset.

The successful candidate must be a proven problem solver, possess strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, and must be self-starting and able to work with minimal supervision. The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with faculty and staff is essential. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.

Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)

$65,153.16 - $81,963.08 annually

Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)

$65,153.16 - $98,772.99 annually (APO - Grade 3)
