About The Opportunity We currently have an opening for a QA Analyst, based in Vancouver, B.C. We are looking for a detail‑oriented, analytical, and collaborative team member who is passionate about software quality and eager to contribute to the reliability and performance of our products. This role involves executing structured test procedures, identifying and verifying defects, and supporting testing across a variety of CAD platforms and installation environments.
Success in this role requires strong communication, problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement within an agile development environment. NOTE: This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. Accountabilities Include
- Developing, maintaining, and executing product test procedures across multiple CAD platforms.
- Working closely with Platform Specialists to report, reproduce, and verify defects.
- Developing, maintaining, and executing installation test procedures across various system environments.
- Providing developers with requirements and guidance for automated test development.
- Performing software QA tasks as required by product teams.
- Participating in agile development processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with PM, development, QA, and Technical Support teams to investigate customer‑reported issues and create structured defect reports.
- Supporting the team in maintaining high‑quality standards and identifying opportunities to refine testing processes.
- Ensuring accurate documentation of test results and maintaining clear and traceable defect logs.
- Performing other duties related to quality assurance as required.
About You
- You have a Civil Engineering Technology degree, Computer Science diploma/degree, or Software Testing program completion.
- You have 1–3 years of software testing experience; experience with desktop application testing is an asset.
- You have experience working with CAD environments or engineering‑related software.
- You bring strong people skills and work effectively as part of a collaborative, cross‑functional team.
- You have technical experience in software testing and familiarity with development processes.
- You can create structured test cases, test plans, and defect reports with clarity and accuracy.
- You have 1–3 years of CAD drafting experience, including AutoCAD (MicroStation is an asset).
- You are proficient with Windows operating systems and have experience working in networked environments.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in identifying issues and proposing improvements.
