About The Role We’re looking for a Senior Architect to join our IT Enterprise Architecture team and play a key role in shaping technology solutions across the OCS. In this role, you’ll partner closely with business leaders to understand project goals, clarify requirements, and translate them into well‑designed, scalable architecture. You’ll develop and guide technology solutions across a range of OCS platforms including OCS.ca, ERP, Power Platform (such as Intelligent Order Management and Inventory Visibility), and our B2B channels. You’ll also help drive solution planning, ensure alignment with business needs, and support multiple project teams by providing clear architectural direction and technical leadership.
About Your Day
- Review high‑level requirements with Strategy & Transformation to scope project size, cost, and timelines.
- Analyze business needs and design technology solutions that address core business problems.
- Translate requirements into application, integration, and operational designs.
- Work with internal stakeholders to manage expectations, clarify requirements, and resolve application issues.
- Produce functional solution designs and detailed specifications that support business objectives.
- Document current and future state architecture and business processes to drive efficiency.
- Develop architectural blueprints and support process optimization and best‑practice discussions.
- Execute assigned deliverables within a structured project framework.
- Implement, configure, and develop components of enterprise applications.
- Conduct preliminary testing and validation of designed solutions.
- Perform architecture governance reviews throughout project execution.
- Support remediation of control gaps in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Provide hyper‑care support post‑go‑live and assist with resolving production issues in enterprise systems.
About About You
- Post‑secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong experience with architecture principles, systems integration, and application development.
- 5+ years supporting and implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 (Finance & Operations, CRM, or Supply Chain).
- 2+ years implementing or supporting eCommerce applications or websites.
- 2+ of Power Platform experience.
- 3+ years experience as a Solution or Technical Architect
- Experience building integrations and managing master data within Microsoft Dynamics AX/365.
- Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of retail or supply chain processes.
- TOGAF or other formal architecture frameworks considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

- Location: Toronto, ON near York Mills and Yonge Street
- Hours of Work: 36.25 a week
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Required Travel: Rare, usually within the GTA
Compensation The target hiring range for this position is $110,000-$130,000. This is a pay grade 8 role, with a salary range of $ 94,694.96 - $ 147,126.98 . Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role. The Ontario Cannabis Store is a Crown agency solely owned by the Province of Ontario and reporting to the Ministry of Finance.
The OCS provides safe, responsible access to legal recreational cannabis for adults 19 and older. We are Ontario’s sole wholesaler to more than 1,500 Authorized Cannabis Stores. The OCS also operates OCS.ca, the Province’s online cannabis retailer which delivers to consumers in every corner of Ontario.
We make sure our customers only receive legal, clearly labelled cannabis products by working closely with a diverse group of Licensed Producers authorized by Health Canada. Our online store prioritizes education and provides many opportunities for both new and experienced consumers to learn more about cannabis and responsible use.
