The successful applicant will assist the Principal Investigator with the project, “Queer, Trans, and Two Spirit Worldbuilding in Augmented Reality.”

Specifically, the Student Research Assistant will travel to Ontario with the PI for a research meeting and workshop on 3D scanning, research 3D scanning apps and practices, and assist with the Research Ethics Board application, as well as other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • This position is open to an upper-level undergraduate student in Creative Technologies.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with augmented reality publishing platforms and Blender and be familiar with 3D scanning apps.
  • The candidate will also demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with queer and/or trans and/or Two Spirit communities is an asset.
