Purpose of the Role
The position plays a key role in ensuring exploration data is collected accurately and consistently to support technical decision-making.
Accountabilities
- Execute drill core and chip logging to Company standards, including lithology, alteration, mineralization, and structure
- Support drilling operations through collar staking, drill pad inspections, rig line-ups, downhole surveys, and drill site supervision
- Ensure accurate sample handling, labelling, and tracking
- Maintain detailed geological records, logs, and databases
- Assist with daily, weekly, and program summary reporting
- Conduct fieldwork in compliance with Company health, safety, and environmental standards
- Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and daily planning activities
- Identify and escalate safety, data quality, or operational issues as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of a B.Sc. in Geology or Earth Sciences, or current enrollment in a related degree program
- 1–5 years of mineral exploration experience, preferably in Canada
- Eligibility for, or registration as, a Geoscientist in Training (G.I.T.)
- Experience working in remote or northern environments preferred
- Familiarity with gold exploration and drilling programs considered an asset
- Willingness to work rotational schedules at site
Work Location & Conditions:
- Location: Yukon Territories, Canada
- Remote-based role with preference for Yukon-based candidates; periodic travel to the Yukon and Vancouver required.
- Rotation: Two-week on / 2-week off rotation at the Coffee Gold Project.
- Physical requirements: Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Expected Compensation: $30- $45 CAD per hour
