Are you a seasoned professional with deep experience in project management for heavy civil and marine construction? Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. (VanPile) is seeking an experienced Construction Manager (Night Shift) to support one of our major project sites in Prince Rupert. As a key leader on our team, your technical knowledge, leadership, and field experience will drive the success of complex and high‑profile marine projects—reinforcing VanPile’s reputation as a top performer in the industry.
This is a fly‑in, fly‑out position with a two‑week on / one‑week off rotation, covering night shift operations. We provide full accommodation and covered travel expenses for the duration of this 8‑month full‑time contract, with potential for extension based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall management and leadership for night‑shift construction activities while ensuring alignment with best practices in health, safety, environment, quality, and execution
- Lead, guide, and support night‑shift superintendents in achieving operational goals and field objectives
- Monitor and review night‑shift progress, comparing performance to project targets and initiating corrective actions as needed
- Assess workflow requirements and reallocate personnel across work fronts as required to maintain productivity
- Motivate and coach direct reports to achieve profitability, productivity, and schedule milestones
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client representatives and subcontractors
- Oversee night‑shift mobilization and demobilization of crews, equipment, and resources
- Ensure all field commitments, requirements, and deliverables are met each shift
- Conduct night‑shift planning meetings, including daily equipment and execution coordination
- Verify that field disciplines are executing according to plan, schedule, and quality expectations
- Spend time in the field monitoring compliance, work quality, and execution efficiency
- Participate in progress, cost, and forecast meetings as required
- Support cost reporting, projections, and planning with field insights
- Lead and reinforce strong safety performance; investigate and report all safety incidents
- Promote and model a strong “safety culture” across night‑shift field activities
- Oversee SIMOPS (simultaneous operations) during night‑shift activities
Qualifications / Requirements
- Engineering degree or technical diploma with 15+ years of experience in marine, pile driving, or drilling operations
- Proven experience delivering large‑scale oil & gas or heavy civil projects
- Strong ability to develop, communicate, and execute project strategies and work plans
- Deep understanding of project execution planning in a fast‑paced field environment
- Willingness to work in remote locations with extended rotations, including night shift and occasional weekend work

Compensation
Salary Range:$130,000 – $170,000 per annum
The actual salary offered will depend on job‑related factors including relevant experience, education, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policies.
