Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join our data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring seamless and efficient integration of data from various sources into our analytics platform. Expertise in SQL and data modeling is essential, while knowledge of DBT and Snowflake will be a significant asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to meet the company's needs.
  • Work with relational databases and other data storage systems to ingest and transform data.
  • Utilize SQL to manipulate and analyze data, optimizing queries for maximum performance.
  • Collaborate with the Bi Analyst to understand data requirements and build suitable models.
  • Integrate and transform data using DBT to create standardized models and large-scale transformations.
  • Optimize database performance and implement best practices for data management.
  • Use Snowflake to manage data warehouses in a cloud environment, optimizing storage and queries.
  • Monitor data quality, identify anomalies, and resolve issues related to data integrity.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and management.
  • Experience in data modeling.
  • Hands-on knowledge of DBT for data transformations.
  • Experience with Snowflake for cloud data management (a plus).
  • Knowledge of integration concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to data pipelines and database performance.
  • Experience automating data workflows in cloud environments.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with other data management technologies is a plus (Python, orchestration tools, etc.).
