Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full-Time Temporary Crop Inputs Team Leader (November 16, 2025 – November 30, 2026), onsite at our Agro Centre in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. This role ensures the timely and efficient delivery of products and services to support optimal crop production for growers. The team leader also plays a key role in providing agronomic advice and building strong relationships with customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales agronomists to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Support team development in agronomic knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement.
  • Maximize revenue growth by targeting new customers and expanding existing customer accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and timely product availability.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote crop inputs, services, and agronomic solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers by understanding their operations and offering tailored agronomic solutions.
  • Provide technical support and product recommendations to address specific crop management challenges.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and innovations in agriculture.
  • Conduct field visits with Sales Agronomists to provide on-site support, technical assistance, and hands-on training.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely order processing, product delivery, and post-sale support.
  • Champion the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as required.

Who You Will Work With : Reporting to the Director of Ag, you will collaborate closely with a team of Sales Agronomists, providing leadership and agronomic support to drive performance. You will collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of products and services. You will build strong relationships with growers, product suppliers, and industry partners.

Discover Prince Albert: Prince Albert, often called the "Gateway to the North" is centrally located along the banks of the North Saskatchewan River, about 140 kilometers north of Saskatoon. As the third-largest city in the province, it serves as a key hub between the southern prairie regions and the vast boreal forests to the north. Who You Are:
You are looking for a career in Agriculture and Customer Service:

  • You hold a degree or diploma in Agricultur and are eligible for membership with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA).
  • You are a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) or Professional Agrologist (P.Ag) designation or are willing obtain.
  • You have proven experience in agricultural sales, preferably as a Sales Agronomist or in a similar role.
  • You have strong leadership skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • You are honest, trustworthy, and results-driven with a commitment to excellence.
  • You have excellent understanding of agronomic practices, crop management, and agricultural inputs (seed, fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides)
  • You are highly organized and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • You have proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • You have effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • You can fulfill the physical job requirements of lifting heavy objects and performing manual labor as needed.
  • You hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
  • You have clear understanding of personnel policies, operational procedures, and workplace standards.
  • You have the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and seasonal demands.
  • You have the ability to operate skid steer/loader and other general equipment.
  • You have a flexible work schedule, including extended hours during peak seasons.
