The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of a post-secondary Health Information, Data Science, Health Administration, Information Technology program, Epidemiology or equivalent required
- CHIMA certification preferred
- MIS/OHRS Level 1 preferred
Skill, Ability and Experience:
- Intermediate to advanced-level skills in using data management, analysis, and reporting tools (e.g. Crystal Reports, Access, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau) required
- 3-5 years experience working with relational databases/large datasets, including manipulating, maintaining, and preparing data and presenting analyses and reports for different audiences required
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience with cloud-based analytics environments, enterprise business intelligence tools, automation, and emerging AI-enabled technologies relevant to reporting and decision support preferred
- Intermediate level proficiency using the Office 365 Suite of products required
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CCI, grouping methodologies, and MIS statistics preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Microsoft SQL Server for data extraction, analysis, querying, validation, and analysis required
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Adept team player with strong interpersonal and relationship skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Three years recent experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on health information management and/or decision support preferred
Principal Duties:
- Accurate and timely extraction, manipulation, interpretation, analysis, and presentation of data from multiple sources (e.g. CIHI, Oracle-Cerner, MIS/OHRS, Intellihealth, BORN, CCO/Access to Care, etc.) through ad hoc and regular reporting
- Assist with benchmarking activities through the development and reporting of balanced scorecards
- Utilize tools, frameworks and methodologies to ensure data quality
- Work with data producers/owners and Information Technology staff to develop methodologies for streamlining and automating processes and to improve data quality
- Provide expertise and support in meeting data queries and information validation requirements of external stakeholders (e.g. OH, OHA, CCO/Access to Care, Ministry of Health etc.)
- Other related duties as assigned
