What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will be accountable for leading the design and delivery of tools, routines, capabilities and initiatives to enable and strengthen the Small Business Credit card team and portfolio. Sitting at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and client experience, you will lead the development of a set of data tools that will enable the team and accelerate our ability to understand our market, clients, products, and portfolio. As risks are identified, you will lead the initiatives to mitigate the risks and ensure our portfolio is meeting all regulatory requirements. The transformation of credit strategies within Small Business is a critical element to our ability to better meet our client’s needs and support the bank’s goals. As a key partner within this strategy, you will collaborate across risk and transformation teams to represent Small Business Credit card clients and products.
What will you do?
- Portfolio & Team Enablement:
- Responsible for leading the design and development of a set of analytical assets that enable the team to develop bold strategies built on insights and accelerate business casing and
- Responsible for leading all team routines and governance practices.
- Responsible for leading the production of portfolio governance deliverables (MBRs, QBRs, Fact Packs, etc) to enable leadership to make informed business decisions and understand the impact the Small Business Credit Cards portfolio has on accomplishing RBC strategies and goals.
- Risk Identification & Mitigation
- Manage the eco-system and governance of legal and regulatory documents within Small Business Credit cards.
- Lead initiatives related to ensuring that Business Credit Cards meets all regulatory requirements and mitigates financial and operational risk for our clients and portfolio.
- Credit Strategy & Transformation
- Responsible for acting as key liaison with credit strategy partners to identify opportunities to enhance client experience and maximize portfolio performance.
- Responsible for collaborating with partners across risk and transformational journeys to transform the Small Business credit strategy.

- Experience in leading and successfully executing initiatives, often under tight deadlines using creative and collaborative approaches.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and a passion for solving ambiguous and complex business issues through a structured approach.
- The ability to dive very deep, from both a quantitative and qualitative standpoint, and translate findings into clear, insightful messages and recommendations for senior executive audiences.
- Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including advanced experience in creating PowerPoint presentations for C-level executives and leaders.
- Strong data analysis skills
- Experience with the development of data assets (reports, dashboards, etc)
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt to changing priorities driven by a fast-moving competitive landscape.
- A proven collaborator, with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge and experience with credit strategy concepts, principles, and approaches
- Undergraduate degree required, with at least 6+ years experience in business banking and product management.
- 4+ years experience in Director level roles
- Knowledge of the credit card product, market, and financials
Nice to have:
- Exposure to test-and-learn frameworks or Agile delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of client lifecycle management and marketing analytics.
- Project Management experience
- Marketing experience
