Job Description
This individual will work collaboratively with the fabrication team operating several machines including CNC Plasma Table, Brake Press, Roller, and Shear. As part of the Vacutrux team this individual will:
Plasma Table
- Set up, operate and monitor CNC Plasma Table
- Load and unload table, clean/prep parts after cutting
- Complete cutting functions according to drawings
- Nest parts efficiently using applicable software
- Nest multiple jobs and multiple materials in software while staying organized
Roller
- Set up, operate and roll shells to diameter for tank fabrication team
- Tack weld shells and help with prepping, including tank heads
Brake Press
- Set up and operate press brake machine to bend and shape metal sheets according to specifications
- Adjust machine settings to control speed, pressure and depth of the bend
- Select and install proper tooling based on bend requirements
- Ensure precise dimensions of finished products according to drawings
General Duties
- Operate plasma, shear and brake press to prep, cut and shape various metals per drawings
- Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications
- Utilize forklifts, cranes, and other equipment for material handling
- Maintain and service equipment as required
- Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Always follow safety protocols and procedures
Skills the ideal candidate has include:
- Previous experience operating a CNC Plasma Table is required
- Experience with CNC machines and tools
- Experience setting up and operating a Brake Press
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machinery
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes and other material handling equipment
- Great attention to detail with strong organizational skills
**Job Type:**Full Time – Permanent
This position is permanent full-time salary with benefits and employer sponsored RRSP plan.
