The Ministry of Education is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and proactive team member to join the Corporate Services Branch as a Finance and Accommodations Coordinator.

Reporting to the Manager of Accommodations, you will provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to the Accommodations Unit. Your responsibilities will include coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes such as access card issuance and parking arrangements, managing mail distribution, overseeing front door duties, responding to inquiries, handling procurement activities, and maintaining accurate records.

You will also ensure that all deliveries are properly received, documented, and distributed. Furthermore, you will assist in the development and updating of internal procedures to maintain operational consistency and enhance overall efficiency.

Given the wide scope of responsibilities, the position requires adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Strong customer service, organizational skills, and clear written and verbal communication are essential for success.

To qualify for this position, you will possess the following knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of government records management systems.
  • Proficiency with various computer software, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and presentation applications.
  • Familiarity with administrative tasks and office operations.

You will have the demonstrated ability to:

  • Accurately input, edit, and retrieve large volumes of data using diverse software within set deadlines.
  • Effectively prioritize and organize a high volume of work while managing interruptions and shifting priorities.
  • Verify documentation for completeness and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to build positive working relationships and meet goals.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting boxes, delivering materials, and assisting with office furniture and equipment moves.
