Hypertec is seeking a Senior Advisor of Media Relations, Public Affairs and Government Relations to join our team in Montreal . If you are motivated, collaborative, and aligned with our values, we would love to hear from you.

Mission Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, Public Affairs and Media Relations, this person will work closely with the Group's business units, the marketing team, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure the consistency, relevance, and visibility of the company's public activities, both in Canada and internationally.
This role requires a strategic understanding of technological issues, strong writing skills, and excellent judgment in public affairs, government relations, and external communications.
What You’ll Be Contributing Media relations:
- Develop and implement media visibility strategies for the Hypertec Group and its subsidiaries.
- Write and coordinate press releases, speeches, media notes, press lines, event sheets, Q&As, etc.
- Maintain proactive relationships with specialized media (technology, AI, infrastructure, business, sustainable development) as well as general media.
- Manage press requests and interview or coverage opportunities.
Public and Government Affairs:
- Support the planning and implementation of government relations strategies at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels, in line with the Group's expansion, innovation, and financing priorities.
- Prepare the necessary documents for meetings with elected officials, civil servants, or public partners (briefings, meeting notes, position papers).
- Monitor developments in public policy, funding programs, and regulatory issues affecting the technology, AI, cloud, and data center sectors.
Internal coordination and strategic monitoring:
- Maintain constant contact with divisions, particularly product, marketing, innovation, business development, and construction teams, to gain a thorough understanding of upcoming launches, initiatives, and events.
- Participate in the planning of public events (trade shows, conferences, panels, visibility events) to ensure consistency in public messaging.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure perfect coordination of external messaging, while ensuring a clear distinction from internal communications.
What Sets You Apart
- University degree in communications, political science, public relations, journalism, public administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in a role combining media relations, public affairs, and government relations, ideally in the technology, innovation, or infrastructure sector.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills in French and English is essential to effectively engage with stakeholders, media, and government representatives across Canada.
- In-depth knowledge of the North American technology ecosystem and government support mechanisms for innovation.
- Strong network in media and institutional circles (an asset).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and navigate a rapidly changing business environment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and constantly changing environment
