This position reports to the Mine Maintenance Senior Planner.

What You'll Do

  • Professionally carry out duties following Nutrien safety principles and priorities.
  • Support all aspects of site safety systems, including the ASAP, OHC, and SIF in the routine committees.
  • Support capital project planning.
  • Work with project managers to understand and help define the scope of electrical work for capital projects including commissioning plans.
  • Review electrical drawing packages for accuracy and completeness for projects.
  • Ensure we are using our standardized parts on new projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring all relevant information is added to our systems for new assets e.g.: Bills of Materials, PM’s, Assets etc.
  • Support scheduling of electricians to accomplish the capital projects.
  • Work with our training department to ensure new equipment has adequate training information.
  • Actively promote and engage in continuous improvement of Mine Maintenance Planning processes.
  • Help develop and maintain an electrical standards parts list in conjunction with the other potash mines.
  • Detail plan work orders in Oracle - Source Material.
  • Scope the job to provide accurate work estimates.
  • Incorporates planning for safety in plans.
  • Create reliable method job plan procedures to be used on repeatable jobs.
  • Work closely with the Electrical Supervisor and Electricians to ensure quality plans are being provided and seek feedback for how to make better plans.

What You'll Bring

  • Journeyperson electrician, electrical technician, electrical engineer, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in a progressive maintenance planner, scheduler, coordinator, or Supervisory role would be an asset.
  • Computer literacy - Typing proficiency.
  • Comfortable navigating and utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word & Excel).
  • Can work independently and is self-motivated to help drive positive improvement.
  • Underground mining experience would be an asset.
