About the role

Join Security ONE: Where Innovation Meets Protection

At Security ONE, we're not just another security company – we're pioneers of peace of mind. For almost half a century, we've been committed to safeguarding homes and businesses across Ontario, providing cutting-edge security solutions backed by unwavering reliability and exceptional service.

Our Mission:

We're on a mission to redefine security, leveraging the latest technology to create safer environments for our clients. Whether it's protecting families from intrusion, safeguarding businesses against theft and fire, or ensuring the safety of communities through smart surveillance, our goal remains constant: to empower our clients with the confidence to live and work without fear.

Position Overview:

As a Security Consultant on our Commercial sales team, you will design and sell customized security solutions to large commercial clients. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset to drive your own success through proactive lead generation. You’ll confidently educate clients on the value of security systems, helping them safeguard what matters most while growing your book of business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Creating “Self-Generated Leads” (SGL’s) daily through a variety of proven prospecting activities
  • Responding to with urgency “Company Generated Leads” (CGL’s) and setting up appointments with prospective customers to design a custom security solution
  • Communicate with thoughtful urgency to all prospective and existing customer sales requests through phone and email.
  • Weekly participation in sales team collaboration and training calls to continuously sharpen your skill set – (approx. 90 min weekly)
  • Maintain an up-to-date & accurate sales funnel through our CRM (we use Hubspot) and keep an organized well planned out calendar (Outlook)
  • Seek out and attend product/service learning sessions hosted by our internal tech team and product vendors to continuously improve your confidence in our product/service offering
  • Smashing sales targets and have a blast helping our customers protect what matters most to them

Does This Sound Like You?

  • You have a track record of achieving or exceeding sales quota in a prior sales role.
  • You hate losing and possess an innate competitive drive.
  • You love winning and helping your customers achieve their goals.
  • You are naturally curious and have a history of learning new things quickly. This is especially important in an outside sales position, as you won’t always have people nearby that you can talk to and learn from.
  • You’re not afraid to pick up the phone or drop in to meet a prospective client – you know that the more people you speak with the results will take care of themselves.
  • You are excited to be using consultative sales strategies in a competitive market.
  • You are highly organized and able to manage several responsibilities at once with little oversight.
  • You have experience tracking all of your sales activity and reports in a customer relationship management software (Hubspot experience is a bonus!)
  • As the primary point of contact and a trusted advisor, you’re happy to wear several hats: sales, support, customer success. Over the course of onboarding, you may be point person on any one of them, mobilizing your teammates for support.
  • Above all, you’re an entrepreneur and are excited by the prospect of building your business and exceeding your monthly sales targets.
  • You enjoy getting creative and like outside of the box thinking to find new ways to reach out and get the attention of prospective clients.
  • You enjoy variety in your life – a mix of using the phone, email and social tools gives you a chance to grow a broader marketing and sales skill set.
  • You possess above average written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with uncapped commission and monthly performance bonuses.
  • Employer-paid Health, Dental, Vision, and Disability benefits.
  • Group Retirement Savings Plan with employer contributions.
  • Flexible work schedule, with autonomy to manage your day outside of training.
  • World-class 4-week onboarding to get you up to speed fast.
  • Paid time off.
  • Tuition support for continuous development and growth opportunities.
  • Community and company-sponsored social and networking events.

About Security ONE

IT Services and IT Consulting

Security ONE has come a long way since our humble beginnings in 1978. Set up by group of partners with an extensive background in security, the company remains locally owned and operated to this day.

With its origins in the basement of a house on Erie St in Leamington, ON, the company’s head office remains in the tomato capital of Canada. For many years, Security ONE operated out of an office on Oak St, when it expanded to include a branch office in Windsor, ON, and eventually Chatham, ON.

Security ONE moved its head office operations from Oak St to our current location on Sherk St, in Leamington, into the former agricultural testing facility for the H.J. Heinz Company. That same year saw the company’s latest expansion into London, ON.

With a work force of over 50, Security ONE serves customers across Southwestern Ontario and beyond.
