Laboratory, Environmental Microbiology Services Mississauga, ON Pinchin Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a 4-month Co-op student to join Pinchin’s Mississauga Microbiology Lab for the Fall 2025 term.
A Day in the life of a Laboratory Technologist at Pinchin
- Receive Samples
- Log Samples on LIMS
- Prepare and send out sampling materials to customers
- Maintain daily records of equipment
- Operate autoclave for sterilization of microbiology materials
- Responsible for general cleanliness of laboratory environment and equipment
- Maintains and calibrates equipment
- Reports deficiencies or malfunctions to the Laboratory Manager
- Assist analysts working in BSCs
- Prepare and maintain stocks of reagents, stains and agar
What You Bring To The Pinchin Team
- Pursuing college diploma or university degree in a related discipline
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access & Outlook)
- Detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain a highly organized work environment and to effectively prioritize tasks
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
