Job Responsibilities Position Responsibilities
- Maintain all equipment, modification of existing equipment and installation of new equipment.
- Be on call after regular hours and to respond to emergency requests.
- Complete preventive maintenance forms, work orders and reports daily.
- Develop new PM’s, as required.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, tune equipment, ensure adequate control and security measures are established and enforced.
- Ensure that all staff are following lock-out procedures.
- Make recommendations for improving equipment.
- Work rotating shifts and overtime, when required.
- Ensure that all staff are maintaining a clean and safe workplace environment
- Perform all work in good standard and in a professional manner.
Worker Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities
- Conduct work in compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and ISO45001 Occupational H&S Management System (OHSMS) and ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements
- Follow all HSE policies and procedures
- Use and wear the right personal protective equipment (PPE) and protective devices
- Report absence or defect in any equipment or protective device to the Supervisor/Manager
- Report any hazard, unsafe act or condition to the Supervisor/Manager
- Attend/participate in all required training
Skills & Experience Required Educational Requirements : Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum Experience
- 5-10 years of industrial experience as a Millwright. Must have the ability to operate tools of mechanical trade in a safe manner
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical manuals
- Must be familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic circuits (pump, motor, actuator theory) and PLC controls
- Strong Electrical knowledge required
- Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines and processes
- Possess strong trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts when necessary
- Demonstrated good work performance in the past
Courses Required : Lockout tag-out, WHMIS, WHMIS Specific, 5S, Machine safety, Scissor Lift Training, Husky Machine and Robot Training, Engel Machine Training
Licenses/Permits Required : 433A
Physical Requirements : Must be able to climb ladders as required, must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Communication Skills : Strong English communication skills, both oral and written
Additional Education/Experience/Skills
- Ability to operate lathe, mill machine, drill press
- Weld, using gas, MIG and TIG welding equipment
- Fabricate components without drawings
