Inside Sales Representative - Valve Business Unit
About the role

- Process domestic, US and International ball/check valve sales/RFQ’s as required
- Intake order desk calls, quote prices, deliveries and process orders as required
- Initiate technical and costing reviews for project quotations when necessary
- Responsible for timely processing distributors stock orders
- Accurate and timely contract review of customer’s purchase order and quotation
- Respond to customer inquiries by determining material availability, conformance to customer requirements, quote prices, and provide a reasonable delivery commitment designed to obtain the customer’s order or expanded order
- Enter and process orders
- Handle customer inquiries on orders, investigate any deficiencies, forward any problems to appropriate personnel, recommend action to rectify problems, and follow up to ensure resolution
- Manage project quotes, sales orders, including documentation submittals, liaise with project coordinator and other internal departments as needed
- Timely processing of sales orders for final invoicing
- Identify and report corrections and/or additions to customer contract pricing and customer items
- Process returns and credits, process distribution stock order exchanges as required
- Process and receive stock transfers as required
- Filing of sales order records as required
- Additional tasks as assigned by Inside Sales Manager
Preferred Candidates Will Possess a Combination Of The Following
- A Post Secondary Diploma or Technical/Engineering Degree is an asset
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an inside or outside sales role
- Experience working with ball and check valves is an asset
- Strong written and oral communication skills with an eye for detail
- Self motivated, good organizational abilities, and able to work independently
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, Engineering drawings and specifications are a definite asset
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is a definite asset
- Experience with technical/engineered products is a definite asset
