MFC Training is currently looking for Part Time Dispatchers to join our team in London, Ontario!

Our Operations:

  • MFC Training is a Transport Canadian Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), carrying out recurring inspections, line maintenance, and heavy maintenance checks;
  • MFC Training currently maintains a fleet of various training aircraft; and
  • Offers a great learning environment where you will touch on almost every aspect of aircraft maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate scheduling of aircraft with maintenance department and flight operations staff and students
  • Dispatch and release aircraft for all training and rental flights
  • Radio communication and monitoring of daily flights
  • Flight following of aircraft in accordance with the Flight Training Operations Manual (FTOM)
  • Respond in timely manner to any aircraft occurrences, adhering to Emergency Response Manual (ERP)
  • Monitor weather conditions, update hourly weather details
  • Coordinate and record fuel deliveries and daily inspections
  • Distribute and maintain oil inventory
  • Distribute items necessary for flight preparation: Canadian Flight Supplements, Fuel strainers, measuring gauges, etc
  • Ensure all Aircraft Journey Logbooks are kept up to date as flights are completed
  • Supervise and coordinate all ramp activities for all aircraft and as required for vehicles
  • Ensure aircraft on the ramp and hangar are secure when not in use
  • Collection of payments from students, rental pilots and other payments as required
  • Monitor and record cancellations for flight operations senior staff
  • Responsible for welcoming students and visitors, answering calls and performing follow up as required
  • Balance daily float and verify shift reports
  • Update, maintain, and/or improve aircraft and operational checklists where necessary
  • Communicate and coordinate across multiple base locations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to receive and apply performance feedback
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations
  • Hold an Industry Canada Restricted Radio certificate
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance
