The Opportunity

Deveraux Asset Management is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our expanding team in Regina. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will support all aspects of the accounting functions by preparing the necessary working papers, reconciliations and compliance filings required for a well functioning accounting department.

What you bring...

  • Accounting Degree/Diploma and/or 3-5 years related experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skills utilizing Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Proficient computer skills and a willingness to acquire new software proficiency as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with little supervision, coupled with the ability to work as part of a team
  • A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach and a dedication to continuous improvement

You will...

  • Accurately account for transactions through daily accounting tasks including preparation and posting journal entries
  • Prepare and issue monthly invoicing and receive incoming payments
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly working papers and financial statements
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and file monthly and quarterly GST, PST, and RST working papers, returns and remittances
  • Support annual compliance requirements by preparing annual financial statements, working papers and tax returns
  • Act as backup and support for other team members where applicable
  • Prepare other ad hoc reporting and accounting responsibilities as assigned

You must be legally eligible to work in Canada (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
