Our client, a global leader in enterprise software solutions, is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Senior Legal Counsel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you'll play a key role in negotiating, managing, and administering commercial agreements that support customers across North America. What You'll Be Doing
As the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the full contract lifecycle, working closely with legal, sales, finance, and delivery teams to support customer and vendor agreements.
Your responsibilities will include
- Reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and administering a variety of commercial agreements, including software licensing, maintenance, vendor, subcontractor, teaming, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bid documents, and procurement requirements, identifying contractual risks and ensuring negotiated terms are accurately reflected in final agreements.
- Advising internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risk, and compliance with company policies.
- Partnering with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Legal to structure agreements that support business objectives while managing risk.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on contractual matters.
- Managing multiple contracts simultaneously while maintaining accurate documentation and contract records.
- Supporting proposal reviews and obtaining internal approvals prior to submission.
- Monitoring contract compliance and coordinating contract close-out activities upon completion.
- Escalating complex legal matters to Senior Legal Counsel as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a highly organized professional who combines strong commercial judgment with exceptional attention to detail and relationship management skills.
Qualifications include
- Degree or diploma in Law, Business, Legal Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in contract management, contract administration, legal operations, or a similar commercial role.
- Experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial agreements.
- Knowledge of public procurement processes, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and public sector contracting is considered a strong asset.
- Previous experience supporting software licensing or technology agreements is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel occasionally within Canada and the United States. Candidates with backgrounds as Contracts Managers, Contract Administrators, Commercial Paralegals, Legal Operations Specialists, Project Managers, or similar contract-focused roles are encouraged to apply.
