Rate of Pay: $19.53 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits
Hours of Work: Up to 80 hours bi-weekly
Posting Date: December 5, 2025 Closing Date: Application review will begin December 15th, 2025. Posting will remain open until filled. Summary This position provides supervision and instruction to patrons regarding safe and effective use of fitness equipment. Serving a diverse community, employees will build co-operative and positive relationship with the public.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures cleanliness of Weight Room and other fitness areas.
- Monitors weight room, ensuring safe use of equipment.
- Responds to the public in a positive, courteous manner.
- Follows all policies, procedures, and standards of the CRD.
- Performs other related duties as required.

- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
Qualifications
- Some directly related experience
Certifications
- Acceptable criminal record check. The applicant/incumbent is required to undergo a criminal record check to work in this position and to report to their supervisor if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to their employment.
- Weight Training and Fitness Leader Certification (BCRPA or equivalent)
- Emergency First Aid and CPR-A
