Intermediate / Senior Structural Engineer – Desired Qualifications
We are looking for an Intermediate or Senior Structural Engineer (P.Eng.) with strong experience in industrial structural engineering, specifically within bulk material handling and heavy industrial facilities.
Required Qualifications & Experienc
eRegistered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia (or eligible for immediate registration with EGBC as P.Eng. )5–15+ years of relevant structural engineering experience in an industrial consulting engineering environmen tStrong experience in :Bulk material handling systems, including Conveyor support structures, Transfer towers and galleries, Loading/unloading systems .Equipment support structure sIndustrial steel structures project sExperience collaborating closely with :Mechanical engineering team sElectrical/E&I team sDesigners and drafter sContractors and fabricator sAbility to mentor and technically support junior engineers and designer sExperience acting as Engineer of Record (EOR) or taking technical responsibility for structural deliverable
s Technical Knowled geStrong working knowledge o f:National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), specifically structural and seismic design requiremen tsCSA S16 – Design of Steel Structur esCSA A23.3 – Design of Concrete Structur esSeismic design provisions for high seismic regions (particularly Western Canada / B C)Structural analysis and load path understanding for industrial faciliti
