Salary: $65,200 - $92,600 Hours: Weekend Shift – Rotating Days/Nights - Saturday/Sunday 11:30am–11:30pm and Friday 11:30pm–Saturday 11:30am rotation

Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing strong leadership and clear direction to a team of 30–45 unionized employees within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that production targets are met safely and efficiently while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards. The Production Supervisor works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Human Resources to enforce company policies, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a safe and respectful workplace. This position also ensures compliance with the Collective Agreement while maintaining productivity and operational stability across the assigned shift.

- Respond to operational issues quickly to minimize production disruptions
Education & Experience

Education:

Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field preferred

Supervisor training or equivalent leadership experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset

Experience:

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required

Experience working within a unionized environment preferred

Experience supporting production operations within a multi-shift manufacturing environment

Technical Requirements:

Understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflow management
-
Experience monitoring production metrics including throughput, utilization, and downtime
-
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Operational Process Control (OPC) quality systems
-
Experience coordinating production schedules and material flow within manufacturing operations
-
Knowledge of furnace operations and forklift operation considered an asset
-
Working knowledge of manufacturing facility security and compliance requirements (e.g. CMMC or similar frameworks)
Knowledge
- Manufacturing production processes and workflow coordination
- Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and workplace safety requirements
- Collective Agreement administration within a unionized workplace
- Quality control systems and continuous improvement practices
- Workforce scheduling and shift coordination
- Equipment utilization and production efficiency management

- Effective conflict resolution and labour relation skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Problem-solving and operational troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions
- Exposure to dirt and noise within a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to heat and smoke within forge production areas.
- Weekend rotating shift schedule including extended work periods.
- Occasional extended hours required based on operational needs.
