MAKING AN IMPACT
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Leadership Giving Donor Relations & Stewardship, this position is responsible for supporting CCS’s leadership giving and national stewardship plan. Working in close collaboration with Major Gift (MG) relationship managers and other internal departments, the Officer will be coordinating stewardship activities ensuring a systematic and integrated approach. This approach will result in supporters who are recognized and thanked by CCS and are committed over the longer term in a trusted partnership with CCS, thereby generating increased and sustainable revenue. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:**
Ensures proper stewardship and engagement (S&E) of all assigned donors and supports coordination of materials for leadership giving audiences.
- Lead regular meeting cadence with Major Gift Relationship Managers in assigned regions on an individual and/or team basis to provide best in class support
- Ensures actions for leadership giving donor recognition and stewardship are set and assigned to appropriate staff for defined region in the CRM for execution.
- Coordinates the execution of activities that build and strengthen relationships with our supporters (donors, volunteers, and event participants) and potential supporters.
- In coordination with Executive Assistant, coordinates the stewardship and engagement activities required of CEO inclusive of videos, holiday cards and other correspondence.
- Support in the strategic planning of meaningful Donor Engagement Plans (DEPs) for MG donors and ensure they are used effectively throughout moves management stages.
- Communicates effectively with staff on timelines for stewardship activities and ensure all actions are met in accordance with timelines, processes and policies.
- Coordinate video or print production projects with Brand Marketing team (such as e-cards)
- General oversight and coordination of the LG stewardship framework
- Maintains inventory and coordinates distribution of stewardship materials for LG audiences
- Basic graphic design and video editing
- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders
Coordinates stewardship and engagement events.
- Coordinates stewardship, engagement, and recognition events such as private donor naming receptions, provide resources and support to staff/volunteers directly involved with events
- Coordinates venues, catering, run of show, VIP lists, invite lists, RSVPs, speaking notes and any other materials, work required from other departments (Marketing and Communications, IT, etc.), ensuring appropriate staff attend, distributing event attendee lists and coordinating follow up.
- Attends events in supporting role (as required and if appropriate), virtually and in person.
Monitors recognition, on-going communication and continued stewardship and engagement of past and current supports.
- Analysis of trends and changes to supporter giving because of donor recognition.
- Researches other organizations and benchmarks CCS’s S&E activities with a view to making recommendations for change leading to best practice.
- Contribute to our culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity (DIBE) by ensuring that all staff feel represented, valued, and heard across all aspects of their identity, including gender, age, religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, and sexuality.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, sales, or a related field is required; an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered.
- Previous exceptional donor relations and/or customer service experience.
- Previous relationship management experience.
- Superior writing and communication skills.
- Previous event management experience.
- Experience in a multi-level not for profit or community health organization.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/PowerPoint/Excel)
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, flexibility and ability to coordinate assignments simultaneously with a series of continuous deadlines and priorities
- Experience in design (for example, Canva), photography, video production and communications an asset.
- Experience in Salesforce an asset.
- Formal training in fundraising and donor relations preferred.
- Active and current affiliation with professional organizations considered an asset. Eg. ADRP, AFP, AASP.
- English is required, French/Bilingualism (French /English) is an asset due to the organization’s nationwide operations.
