BCAA is hiring a temporary full time Workforce Operations Scheduler. The assignment will have an end date of January 31, 2027.

Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office. Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered.

As one of BCAA’s Member experience enablers, you handle and coordinate the workforce management functions for BCAA’s Service Locations and Contact Centres. You will build, edit and modify employee work schedule using scheduling systems to publish and maintain accurate work schedules to ensure the right amount of resources are scheduled at the right time.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and publish team member work schedules to improve efficiency of resources while taking into consideration skill distribution, shift allocations, overtime and breaks while adhering to Collective Agreement when required.

  • Track and document requests for time off including vacation, personal leave requests and shift swap requests.

  • Identify and develop staffing plans areas of deficiencies to mitigate risks that may impact customer wait times. Update schedules where required.

  • Review trends and seasonality through BCAA dashboards to make data-based decisions.

  • Active monitoring of customer wait times across all channels (Phone/In Person/Digital)

What you bring:

  • Diploma in Business Administration preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Minimum two years of workforce scheduling experience in a contact centre or retail environment.

  • Proven experience with workforce management tools, such as Verint, Amazon Connect or WorkDay.

  • Knowledge of standard hours of work within Canada Labour Code and/or BC Employment Standards Act.

  • Bonus Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Collective Agreements

  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Salesforce knowledge

The salary range for this position is $60,460.80 to $75,575.88 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%
