Customer Account Specialist

We’re looking for a junior to mid-level Customer Account Specialist (CAS) to own day-to-day customer relationships, deliver responsive service, and support business development efforts. You’ll be the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, making sure customers are informed, issues are resolved quickly, orders are on track, and opportunities don’t slip through the cracks. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility from day one, supported by experienced leadership and cross-functional teams in operations, supply chain, and engineering.

What You’ll Do: Customer Service & Issue Resolution

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries—responding promptly and professionally to questions on order status, delivery timelines, pricing, and product specifications.
  • Own customer issues from intake through resolution: log concerns, coordinate with production and quality teams, communicate status updates, and follow up to confirm satisfaction.
  • Maintain organized records of customer interactions, open issues, and action items using CRM and ERP systems.
  • Proactively flag recurring customer pain points and work with internal teams to address root causes, not just symptoms.
  • Process and confirm purchase orders, RFQs, and change requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Customer Relationships & Communication
  • Build trust with assigned accounts through consistent, proactive communication—customers should never have to chase you for an update.
  • Prepare and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with support from senior leadership.
  • Learn our customers’ businesses well enough to identify where Price Electronics can add value through additional services.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve delivery, quality, or pricing issues before they become problems.

Sales Support & Forecasting

  • Work with customers to collect and maintain accurate sales forecasts and communicate them to our operations and supply chain teams.
  • Track blanket purchase orders and flag discrepancies in forecast consumption to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Monitor account performance metrics—on-time delivery, quality, service levels—and keep both internal stakeholders and customers informed.

Supply Chain Coordination

  • Work alongside our supply chain and engineering teams to communicate component end-of-life and obsolescence risks to customers.
  • Help coordinate last-time-buy decisions and replacement part strategies with guidance from senior staff.

Business Development

  • Support quoting and proposal efforts for new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and customer visits as a representative of Price Electronics.
  • Contribute to competitor and market research to keep our team informed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–5 years of experience in account management, customer service, inside sales, or a related role—ideally in manufacturing, electronics, or a technical industry, but we’ll consider strong candidates from adjacent fields.
  • Strong communication skills—you’re comfortable on the phone, in email, and in a room with customers.
  • A service-first mindset. You take ownership of customer issues and don’t rest until they’re resolved.
  • Detail-oriented and organized—you can juggle multiple accounts and open issues without letting things fall through.
  • Curious and eager to learn a technical business. You don’t need to know what an SMT line is today, but you should want to.
  • Comfortable with ERP systems, CRM tools, and Excel. Experience with any of these is an asset; aptitude matters more than specific platforms.
  • Post-secondary education in business, engineering, or a related field is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the United States approximately ~5% of the time.
  • Other duties as Price Electronics as assigned as we continue to grow.
