Senior Supply Chain/Business Analyst
About the role
Reporting to the President and CFO this large corporation with divisions located on the subway line and Vaughan requires a Senior Supply Chain/Business Analyst. Qualifications: Support and analysis of daily operations as it relates to import transport and distribution of perishable goods. Develop, execute, and distribute standard, exception based, and ad-hoc performance reporting to support the decision-making process and drive maximum suppliers’ performance Responsible for overseeing the authentication, execution, and maintenance of data analysis Ensure continuous validation and evolution of internal performance and compliance measurement levers Responsible for short lead time from end to end, including ranging, forecasting, and purchasing, in order to manage inventory risk and enable later ordering. Analyse cost data for local and international shipments with a good understanding of international shipping terms and logistics Knowledge of accrual costing and final reconciliations to ensure ongoing reporting reflects economic reality Manages distribution and transportation costs and analysis on perishable goods. Using advance excel skills, provide detailed monthly & seasonal freight variance analysis for all categories for distribution to various clients, Support procedures for organizing and improving freight quality and expense invoice processing. Detail oriented but able to understand and adapt to larger picture objectives Passionate about company and supplier partnerships ( as opposed to adversarial ) Capable of summarizing status and proactively addressing issues by suggesting courses of action Able to understand and plan complex distribution, however capable of dealing with inevitable unforeseen obstacles in a calm and efficient manner
