MRS269H1 Clinical Behavioral SciencesCourse description: Clinical Behavioural Sciences provides an overview of the ethical, societal, and personal factors that influence and impact health care services. The role of the health care provider and the dynamics of the provider-patient relationship will be examined from a critical perspective. This course will combine theory and practical application, delivered through in-person and self-directed online activities, which will allow the student to reflect on their own values and beliefs through readings and discussions. Estimated course enrollment: 130 Estimated TA support: None Class Schedule: Tuesdays 16:00-19:00 Sessional dates of appointment: January 4, 2027, to April 27, 2027 Salary: Sessional Lecturer I - $9,997.475 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $10,699.215 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer II - $10,699.215 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $10,953.96 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer III - $10,953.96 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer III Long Term - $11,228.90 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. This course is 0.5 FCE. Minimum Qualifications: MSc Advanced Practice (Radiotherapy and Oncology) or a MSc with specialization or competency in the subject matter of the course and Medical Radiation Sciences. Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) and membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in medical imaging and/or radiation therapy practice setting. Preferred Qualifications: We are seeking applicants with a proven record of teaching and curriculum development the undergraduate or graduate-level. Description of Duties: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a University credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; out-of-class interactions with students via e-mail and office hours; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; ordering of all necessary readings; supervision of TAs (if any) assigned to the course.
