YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
The Mine Engineering Co-op Student will be responsible for supporting the mine technical services team with the coordination of efficient and safe mining operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to the Technical Services team in various capabilities such as surveying, drill and blast engineering, and short term planning;
- Exposure to geotechnical engineering, production geology, long term planning, fleet management and mine operations;
- As assigned, evaluate and provide input to improve processes in the mine affecting quality, safety and productivity.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Our ideal candidate has:
- Student enrolled in a Mining Engineering University Program;
- Positive attitude and a team player;
- Experience working at a mine site is favourable;
- Proven commitment to health, safety and the environment;
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;
- Exceptional ability to work within a diverse team;
