Your Impact:
TheManufacturing Estimatoris responsible for reviewing customer requests for quotation (RFQs), analyzing drawings and specifications, and preparing accurate cost estimates for fabrication and machining projects.
This role works closely with engineering, production, and operations to ensure quotes reflect manufacturing capabilities, material costs, and production efficiencies.

- Develop a strong understanding of Malach’s manufacturing capabilities and cost drivers. Influence pricing, margins, and production strategy. Build technical and commercial expertise in a growing fabrication environment.
Primary Areas of Responsibility:
- Review incoming RFQs including drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Prepare clear and accurate cost estimates based on materials, labour, machining, fabrication, finishing, and outside processing.
- Evaluate manufacturing methods to determine the most efficient production approach.
- Work with production and engineering teams to confirm manufacturability and cycle times.
- Develop detailed quote packages for customer submissions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Working knowledge of metal fabrication processes including laser cutting, shearing, punching, forming, machining, welding, finishing, and assembly is an asset.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks is an asset.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; JobBOSS ERP experience is an asset. Ability to prioritize multiple requests and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments.
- One or more years of estimating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Work Details & Benefits:
- Full-time, permanent position. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
