About ConstellAI
ConstellAI is tackling online child exploitation by building AI-powered child safety tools designed to help platforms detect and prevent grooming, online exploitation, and other forms of harm affecting children and vulnerable youth.
Our mission is to support messaging platforms, NGOs, and child-serving organizations with practical, privacy-conscious technology that detects grooming and identifies risks to children before harm occurs.
As we prepare for pilot deployments for grooming detection on messaging platforms, and continued product development, we are forming a Child Safety Advisory Council to ensure our work is informed by real-world expertise.
About the Role
We are seeking experienced individuals from a variety of backgrounds to provide guidance, feedback, and practical insight on child safety challenges and technology solutions.
Ideal candidates may include:
- Trust & Safety professionals from technology platforms that have minor users and involve messaging and communication
- Social workers
- Child protection professionals
- Foster parents and caregivers
- Anti-trafficking professionals
- Youth advocates
- Online safety specialists
- Researchers in child safety, exploitation prevention, or digital well-being
- NGO leaders serving vulnerable youth
- Adult survivors of childhood exploitation or abuse
A note on survivor participation: We recognize that engaging people with lived experience carries a specific duty of care. Participation will be trauma-informed, and survivors will never be asked to disclose, share, or revisit personal experiences. Your perspective, how systems did or didn't work for you, your suggestions in making this technology better, is what matters, and you set the terms of how you engage.
Responsibilities
Advisory Council members may:
- Review product concepts and proposed features
- Provide feedback on child safety workflows and intervention strategies
- Identify potential risks, blind spots, and ethical considerations
- Participate in product demonstrations and feedback sessions
- Share expertise from their professional or lived experience
- Help shape pilot programs and evaluation criteria
- Contribute to best practices for responsible AI deployment
Time Commitment
- Approximately 1-3 hours per month
- Quarterly virtual advisory meetings
- Optional participation in product testing and pilot programs

This is a volunteer advisory position. ConstellAI is an early-stage startup, and we are seeking individuals who are passionate about improving online child safety and helping shape impactful solutions.
