The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough.
It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools and other key destinations throughout the city.
The Accenture I&CP team is partnering with partnering to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension project.
Reporting to the Systems and Line Wide Director, the Deputy Director, Systems will lead significant parts of the Line Wide Systems works primarily focused on the fit out the new tunnels and emergency access buildings on Scarborough Subway Extension project
This position will manage a team of client staff, consultants and contractors to deliver significant parts of the Line Wide Systems works

(Internal Title: Project Management V)
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Line Wide Systems activities across tunnels, stations, and emergency access buildings
- Support the Line Wide Director by overseeing program-wide systems integration, ensuring alignment across civil, systems, and operational readiness teams
- Lead interface, reporting, and risk management for systems fit-out and Testing & Commissioning workstreams
- Ensure Contractor Systems Works processes align with system assurance, safety case requirements, and operational readiness milestones
- Engage with the Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) to review safety-related documentation, test results, and certification readiness
- Ensure contractor schedules are fully integrated with construction sequencing and installation activities
- Oversee tunnel and facility systems fit-out, ensuring compliance with design, quality, and operational requirements
- Provide executive-level stakeholder management with TTC, City of Toronto, Client Engineering Safety Division, and other partners
- Support decision-making on change management, contract administration, and technical issue resolution

Experience:
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in Project Management
- Extensive experience delivering systems components of major rapid transit or rail infrastructure programs
- Significant leadership experience overseeing large technical teams and major contractors
- Strong expertise in systems integration, assurance, and Testing & Commissioning for rail projects
- Deep understanding of systems works related to rapid transit, including tunnel and facility fit-out
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and balance competing priorities
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and executive presentation skills

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Licenses OR Certifications:
- Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Skills and Competencies:
- Expert grasp of prevailing Project Management methods
- In-depth understanding of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in Project Management software
- Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
