The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening customer relationships across Saskatchewan territory. This role leads territory development for Bray’s valve, actuator, and related flow control product lines by identifying new business opportunities, supporting existing accounts, and executing strategic sales plans aligned with annual targets. The incumbent is expected to manage forecasting, pricing, sales planning, customer engagement, and follow-through on key opportunities while serving as a trusted advisor to distributors, end users, engineers, and commercial customers. Success in this role requires strong technical sales capability, sound business judgment, excellent relationship management, and the ability to work independently in a highly field-based environment.

Responsibilities

Sales

Promote Bray products and solutions through customer visits, technical presentations, engineering seminars, plant tours, and product training sessions with industrial and commercial accounts. Develop and grow the assigned territory by identifying new opportunities, increasing market penetration, and ensuring effective coverage across all key accounts and channels. Make sound pricing and lead-time recommendations to support order conversion, escalating to the Western Canada Sales Manager when additional approvals or support are required. Prepare annual sales forecasts and budgets for the upcoming year in collaboration with Saskatchewan distribution partners and submit planning information at the start of the fourth quarter. Present a written annual territory plan to the Western Canada Sales Manager outlining sales strategies, target objectives, growth opportunities, and any anticipated resource requirements. Actively manage quotes, pipeline activity, and sales opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination of multi-channel sales strategies to maximize conversion. Lead complex negotiations, resolve customer concerns professionally, and close business in a manner that supports both customer satisfaction and company objectives.

Travel

This is a highly field-based role requiring approximately 85% travel within the assigned territory. The incumbent is responsible for managing their own travel schedule efficiently and cost-effectively in accordance with company policy. Travel plans should be organized at least three weeks in advance and shared with the Western Canada Sales Manager, including key objectives and target accounts for each trip.

Reporting

Weekly sales meeting reports must be submitted within one week of each meeting, with clear follow-up actions documented for ongoing account and opportunity management. All customer activity, actions, and next steps are to be maintained in the CRM system to ensure visibility, accountability, and timely follow-through. The incumbent is also responsible for providing a monthly progress summary to the Western Canada Sales Manager on key accounts, target projects, and active opportunities within the territory.

Training

Conduct customer training and product education sessions as needed to strengthen product knowledge, communicate updates, and support effective presentation of Bray product lines within each customer’s market segment. A monthly sales forecast is also required to summarize expected territory performance over the following three months.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of outside sales or sales management experience, preferably in valves, automation, or related industrial products. Demonstrated success in territory sales, business development, and time management within a customer-facing environment. Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and sound judgment, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver results against objectives.
