Position Overview:
Cobra Construction is seeking a highly skilled and talented Proposal Coordinator to lead our proposal development process. This pivotal role involves coordinating responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and bids. We are looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional project coordination skills, professional writing expertise, and intermediate graphic design abilities.
- Head Office Location: Beausejour, MB - This position will require infrequent travel to Beausejour, and up to four (4) trips per year for key management meetings.
- Local MB Applicants: would be expected to be in the office daily.
The successful candidate will be required to provide:
- Proof of valid work authorization, if not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- A valid Driver’s License and proof of $2 million liability insurance
- Satisfactory reference checks as part of the pre-employment verification process
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of proposal strategies and strategic responses for proposals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and write proposal specifics to create high-quality written content.
- Address the requirements for the development of programmed product systems.
- Oversee the setting and development of standards across design.
- Analyze proposals and any prequalifying documents/requirements.
- Understand construction contracts to effectively respond to pursuit requests.
- Manage proposal timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Review, edit, and proofread proposal material, including technical and non-technical documents, to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Assist with producing estimates, including preparation of materials, labor, and equipment cost estimations related to the proposals.
- Create and maintain a database of information for future proposal submissions.
- Prepare engaging presentations for proposal interviews.
Minimum Qualifications (What you will contribute to the Cobra team / Experience or Certification):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in proposal coordination, business development, or a related role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and winning complex proposals and bids.
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Excellent professional writing skills with attention to detail.
- Intermediate graphic design abilities to create visually appealing proposals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Click-Up, and proposal management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Design software experience (such as InDesign, or similar) at an intermediate to expert level.
- APMP certification or equivalent.
- Experience in Construction, and specifically off-site or within the modular industry would be considered an asset.

Tyler Prevost founded Cobra Construction in 2009 as a general contracting company. In 2015, Prevost teamed up with his brother Shane and expanded the company by opening Cobra Structures, a second division to effectively serve customers with building solutions in a variety of industries.
In 2019, the Prevost brothers partnered with Norway House Cree Nation to form Bison Modular Homes. This company manufactures durable, quality modular homes that provide fire-resistant, mold-resistant, and rot-resistant building solutions to northern Indigenous communities.
Then in 2020, the Prevost’s partnered with Curtis Kuczera and created Cobra Mechanical in order to provide full mechanical and electrical turnkey solutions for clients.
Together, these divisions form Cobra Enterprises, and their combined successful projects have made Cobra Enterprises Beausejour’s fastest growing company.
