About the role

Faculty/Department Faculty of Social Work Unit Social Work-Other Employee Group CUPE 2419 CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Student Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary

Working under the direction of Suzy Yim, MSW, RSW, the teaching assistant will be responsible for assisting with the completion of duties associated with the delivery of SW 390 and SW 448 during the Fall 2025 semester.

Class days/times: Thursdays 7:00 PM – 9:45 PM.Duties include grading assignments and other duties as needed. The TA is not required to be available during class times. Grading should be completed in a timely manner.

Position Requirements

  • Preference given to a U of R graduate student in social work

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with social work practice

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

This is a casual position from September to December 2025 for a total of 50 hours.
