Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with advanced expertise in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to lead month-end and year-end closing processes while mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial data.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Identify trends, variances, and discrepancies through data analysis, providing actionable insights to management.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Support external audit processes by preparing documentation and collaborating with auditors.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing historical data and financial analysis.

• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering their development and ensuring adherence to best practices.

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement new systems to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on general ledger management and financial reporting.

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience collaborating with external auditors and implementing process improvements is preferred.
