JOB TITLE: Housekeeping Aide | #2091
SERVICE AREA: Early Learning & Youth Services
LOCATION: Playhouse Child Development Centre
START DATE: November 01, 2025 (Ending May 31, 2026)
TERM/STATUS: Temporary Part Time
SCHEDULE/HRS: Mon/Tues/Thurs 09:00-14:00, Wed/Fri 09:00-13:00 // 23 hours per week
HOURLY WAGE: $23.70 as per collective agreement
THE ROLE:
The Housekeeping Aide prepares snacks and lunches, disinfects toys, utensils, and areas and equipment at the site under the direction of the teachers and Program Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties.
- Training and/or experience in kitchen duties
- Cooking and baking experience preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal and written direction.
- Food Safe Certificate is preferred – training can be provided if needed
- Minimum six months of applicable work experience.
Standard requirements of the Housekeeping Aide include:
- Criminal Record Clearance
- Medical Clearance
- TB Test Clearance
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification – training will be provided
- Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
- Basic computer literacy
- Eligible to work in Canada
