We are looking for a Change Management Consultant to help support our growing operation which provides exemplary, highly coordinated primary health care in the right place, from the right provider, at the right time.
Reporting to the Vice President, Organizational Performance and Innovation, the Change Management Consultant is responsible to lead successful transformation initiatives in support of the growth of Medavie Health Services in accordance with Medavie’s strategic plan.
The Consultant is critical to supporting new growth initiatives through developing and executing change management deliverables for various transformational initiatives and projects. As a trusted advisor, the Consultant will make an impact by supporting various teams through all aspects of change.
In analyzing and pursuing these opportunities, the Consultant will work collaboratively with team members across the Medavie Health Services Group of Companies. This will include but not be limited to: working with project teams; and becoming an internal subject matter resource in various areas.
In this role, your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide change consulting services for various growth / transformational initiatives and projects This will require the Consultant to collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement change strategies and plans that drive adoption across multiple initiatives and stakeholder groups;

Working as a member of project leadership team, and applying the Prosci ADKAR methodology, develop the strategy and supporting change management plans in alignment with project plan and timelines.

Lead the execution of the change plans, and monitor/ adjust as required.

Based on the change plan, engage the appropriate SMEs to provide specialized support to the project (Communications, HR, Training, etc.).

Upon project completion, transfer ownership of activities to leaders to ensure continuous reinforcement of the change.

Coach business leaders in their roles as change sponsors and leaders to effectively lead teams through various transitions;

Identifying change management best practices and providing recommendations / action plans on how they can be incorporated into existing policies and procedures;

Supporting the identification of improvement areas within the Medavie Health Services Group of Companies and developing corresponding strategies for execution. The Consultant must detect and help implement necessary changes to enable the business to perform to its optimum ability;

Achieving company goals is an evolving process and can involve running focus groups, workshops, as well as, coaching staff. The Consultant must bridge any gaps between subsidiary companies and/or departments while maintaining strong communications;

Monitor change effectiveness post-implementation and recommend improvements to support long-term adoption including, but not limited to: creating a system to evaluate the success of any adjustments or integrations made within the organization and presenting findings to Senior Management;

Creating training materials utilizing common training development tools for business process and system training and deliver training via multiple vehicles, such as in-person, web-ex and video

Acting as point of contact between different departments within the company and relevant external stakeholders when required;

Leading ad-hoc initiatives intended to increase the organization’s capacity for growth and level of standardization.
Education As the ideal candidate for this role, you:
- Certification and / or designation in change management principles and methodologies (e.g. Certified Change Management Professional, certification in Prosci Change Management or equivalent);
Experience
- 3-5 years change management experience on medium to large scale organizational change efforts and projects and experience with change management principles and methodologies
- Previous organizational change management experience working on complex projects in a healthcare environment;
- Experience working with SharePoint and other tools, such as Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Using multiple resources and quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, the incumbent is able to capture and interpret information; synthesizing all forms of research into clear, thoughtful and actionable deliverables.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong analytic and decision making abilities with the ability to problem solve and identify the root cause of issues;
- Practical knowledge of change management methodologies and tools (e.g. stakeholder maps, impact assessments, communication planning);
- Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal;
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to manage conflict by actively listening to others needs;
- Able to work effectively at all levels of the organization and build/leverage relationships among peers and higher management;
- Must be a team player and able to work with and through others by influencing and moving toward a common vision or goal;
- Able to provide direction to diverse project teams;
- Able to present to and / or provide updates to senior leadership;
- Familiarity with key stakeholders and associated issues in a public sector healthcare environment.
