Role Description
This is an internship role for an Educator Engagement position located on-site in Toronto, ON. The intern will support educational programming by developing content, engaging with educators, and assisting in the delivery of STEM-related activities and materials. Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, collaborating with the team to plan programs, and supporting engagement initiatives to build partnerships with schools and community organizations. Documentation and reporting to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives will also be part of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with educators and community partners
- Knowledge or experience in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) fields is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to coordinate programming and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate workshops and convey ideas clearly
- Passion for education, youth development, and promoting equity in marginalized communities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace); familiarity with virtual learning tools is an asset
- Pursuing or recently completed education in a relevant field such as Education, Social Sciences, STEM, or a related area
