POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Position Available
SALARY: $101,376 - $135,795 per annum
POSITION LOCATION: Various Campus Locations

DUTIES
Reporting to the Dean for the School of Business, Information Technology & Creative Arts and the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts & Baking, the Associate Dean provides leadership and overall management of the School including academic planning, program quality oversight, services and student success for their portfolio within the School.
The Associate Dean is committed to Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion which is evident in all aspects of their leadership style, decisions and interactions.
The successful candidate will work with the Dean to ensure the school’s programming is relevant to current business, industry and community needs. The Associate Dean will have responsibility for the delivery of programming in multiple disciplines through a variety of delivery modalities. The successful incumbent will have an entrepreneurial, academic and service focus. Other duties include developing partnerships and skills training opportunities with industry, liaison with government, associations and other education institutions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree in a related discipline. A combination of education and recent, relevant experience may be considered

Significant experience planning and providing leadership for large teams
-
Experience with project and financial management at a senior level
-
Experience executing on strategic plans and performance management objectives
-
Human resource management experience including supervisory experience in a unionized environment
-
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective partnerships internally and externally
-
Experience with and skilled at change management, conflict resolution and negotiation
-
Adaptive in thinking and able to discern innovative solutions to new and emerging challenges
-
Demonstrated commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, anti-racism, social justice, diversity and creating inclusive communities
-
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Indigeneity, Traditional and Western approaches, ethical engagement and respectful collaboration with Indigenous Peoples, cultural safety education and practices, decolonizing curriculum, and other areas that complement our existing priorities and commitments

Experience with public speaking

Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching experience and familiarity with the post-secondary education environment

Formal background in adult, administrative or higher education

Specialized training and/or certification (CPA, IT Certification and related certification)

Expert in the field of Small Medium Enterprise
-
Teaching for Learning (TFL) In Applied Education Program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
