This posting represents two leadership opportunities within the organization: Senior Manager, Strategic Outbound Business Development – Responsible for leading a team focused on strategic prospecting, account development, and generating new business opportunities through proactive outreach in partnership with the 1P Merchants. Senior Manager, Inbound Business Development – Responsible for leading a team focused on qualifying inbound demand, optimizing lead management, and converting marketing-generated opportunities into qualified sales pipeline. Candidates will be considered for the role that best aligns with their leadership experience, operational strengths, and expertise. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Managers to consistently achieve performance objectives. Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and customer-focused culture. Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent while creating clear career growth opportunities. Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and development planning. Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence. Business Performance Establish and manage team goals, KPIs, and performance metrics aligned with organizational objectives. Monitor pipeline health, conversion metrics, productivity, and forecast accuracy. Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, process optimization, and best practices. Ensure CRM discipline and operational excellence across the team. Cross-Functional Partnership Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Enablement, and Product teams to optimize lead flow, qualification standards, and pipeline generation. Provide feedback to improve campaign effectiveness, messaging, and customer engagement strategies. Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure seamless handoff of qualified opportunities and alignment on revenue goals. Strategic Outbound Business Development Leadership Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies aligned with target markets, strategic accounts, and business growth priorities. Partner closely with the 1P Merchants to identify whitespace opportunities, align on account strategies, and drive coordinated pipeline generation efforts. Collaborate with Account Executives, Sales Leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to build account plans that accelerate customer acquisition and expansion. Optimize account targeting, outreach methodologies, and engagement strategies to maximize qualified pipeline creation. Coach Business Development Managers on strategic prospecting, executive engagement, value-based messaging, and objection handling. Analyze outbound performance metrics to identify trends, improve conversion rates, and continuously refine prospecting strategies. Foster strong partnerships with Marketing, Sales Operations, Enablement, and the 1P merchant team to ensure alignment on priorities, campaigns, and customer engagement. Inbound Business Development Leadership Lead the inbound business development strategy to maximize lead qualification, conversion, and pipeline generation. Optimize inbound lead management processes to improve speed-to-lead, qualification rates, and overall customer experience. Partner with Marketing to ensure alignment on lead quality, routing, campaign performance, and demand generation initiatives. Coach Business Development Managers on discovery, qualification frameworks, customer engagement, and consultative conversations. Monitor inbound funnel performance and leverage data-driven insights to improve efficiency and conversion across the customer journey. Identify opportunities to enhance processes, workflows, and service levels while maintaining a best-in-class customer experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Several years of experience in Business Development, Sales Development, Inside Sales, or Sales leadership. Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales or business development teams. Experience managing performance metrics, pipeline generation, and operational KPIs. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with CRM platforms (such as Salesforce) and sales engagement technologies. Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive organizational initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading either inbound demand generation or strategic outbound prospecting teams. Experience partnering with enterprise sales organizations to drive pipeline and revenue growth. Strong understanding of sales processes, lead management, and customer lifecycle best practices.
