The position is specific to Wood 9/10 (2 Blocks) and 1 Wood 11/12 (1 Block) in semester 1. Teacher responsible for the Youth Train in Trades program in Semester 2. Red seal certification and BC Teaching Certification required. Previous teaching experience in a secondary school Carpentry program is an asset. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, supervising hands-on practical sessions, and preparing students for industry certifications. - **Position ****– **Industrial Education Teacher
- **Schedule - **Full time (guaranteed hours)
- Location – Aldergrove Secondary School
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor of Education degree (Technology or Industrial Education concentration) or equivalent training
- Industrial education courses equal to 33 units which are relevant to prescribed curriculum including appropriate teaching methodology courses for the assignment
- Appropriate journeyman's status or equivalent (if CPP)
- Or equivalent training, or experience

- Cover Letter (please elaborate on your experience)
- A copy of your Red Seal in carpentry
- A copy of your transcript (official or unofficial) for your program
- A copy of the credential received after completing your teaching program
- A copy of your Certificate of Qualification (from the TRB to teach in BC)
- Email addresses for a minimum of three references (ideally, managers from your most recent/relevant role)
For applicants who are in the process of completing their teaching program, some of the above documents may be 'pending' at the time of submission; however, the application will still be considered.
