Delivery Driver
About the role
Annex Mechanical Installations is a turnkey mechanical contractor with offices across Ontario, focused on delivering complete solutions from project planning to final installation. Team members work on a variety of mechanical projects, supporting commercial and industrial clients with installation and service needs. Annex Mechanical Installations values collaborative work, strong communication, and continuous improvement in field operations. Role Description The Delivery Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. This position is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading mechanical equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites and company locations. Day-to-day tasks include planning delivery routes, maintaining accurate delivery records, inspecting vehicles and equipment before use, and reporting any issues or delays promptly. The Delivery Driver will coordinate with project teams and warehouse staff to ensure timely deliveries, assist with material handling on-site when required, and follow all company safety procedures and local traffic regulations. This role may involve occasional support with basic inventory checks and contributing to a clean, organized vehicle and loading area. Delivery area ranges from Toronto to Ottawa.
Qualifications
Ability to interact professionally with clients, site staff, and colleagues. Experience with Forklift Operation or other material-handling equipment, and willingness to follow all safety protocols. Training experience or the ability to learn and follow delivery, handling, and safety procedures, and support onboarding of new team members as needed. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and comfort operating delivery vehicles in urban and industrial environments. Delivery vehicles are: Pick-up truck, Cube van and Hino flat bed. Ability to lift and move materials safely, work in varying weather conditions, and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic documentation or record-keeping abilities. Knowledge of basic workplace safety practices; previous experience in construction, mechanical, or industrial settings is an advantage. Must be able to lift over 75lbs semi regularly.
