The Transaction Tooling Internship is a full time internship from October 2025-May 2026.

About the Team:
The Transaction Tooling team at People Inc. is a highly collaborative team of engineers building enterprise class internal tools for commerce and editorial staff to manage the wide array of products presented across all the People Inc. brands.
About the Intern Role:
As an intern on Transactional Tooling you will be fully integrated into the engineering team and be given meaningful and challenging work improving, extending, and creating new and existing products using modern full-stack web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Typescript, and Javascript, as well as working with frameworks such as Vue JS, Next JS, Node, Tailwind, and others.
Internship Responsibilities will Include:

Working with the team on new features to enhance existing tools in the above mentioned languages and frameworks

Turning design mock ups into functional features

Integrating with custom and 3rd party APIs

Collaborating with product management and fellow engineers to plan and execute work

Attending Agile scrum meetings via Zoom such as:
- Daily Huddles
- Sprint planning
- Weekly retrospectives
About You:
Candidates for this role should have:
- A strong desire to learn about real world application development and be mentored by senior engineers
- Values collaboration and is eager to both give and receive feedback
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering and system design lifecycles
- Motivated problem solver who will proactively troubleshoot and create solutions
- An eye for web design, and user experience.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Experience working with Javascript, Typescript, HTML and CSS and building web applications
- Experience with modern web frameworks such as Vue JS, React, or others a strong asset
- Experience with Java an asset
