Position Overvie
wKEDC is seeking a strategic and versatile Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive operational excellence and support the organization’s long-term growth. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board of Directors (BOD), the COO will play a pivotal role in implementing KEDC’s vision and strategic priorities. This leadership position oversees business operations, fosters collaboration, and ensures efficient governance, policy execution, and business development. The ideal candidate will bring strong executive leadership experience, a proven ability to drive organizational growth, and a deep understanding of economic development—particularly in the First Nations context. With a focus on innovation, efficiency, and strategic partnerships, the COO will work to strengthen KEDC’s businesses, enhance stakeholder relationships, and position the organization for sustained success

This full-time 35-hours per week position, offers the opportunity to work remote, with occasional travel to the K’ómoks First Nation community, requiring the successful candidate to be located on Vancouver Island.
