Context
We are looking for a Data Engineering Specialist for the Go Expansion program as part of the MCS Delivery Partner Consortium.
Missions/Main Duties
Data Science and Strategic Support Assist the Data Science Manager in achieving objectives. Contribute to data transformation efforts, including data engineering and reporting applications to align with client goals. Support the development and execution of strategic roadmaps for data management and mobilization. Collaboration and Teamwork Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to foster a high-performing and collaborative environment. Provide input to enhance team capabilities and support continuous learning initiatives. Data Architecture and Management Ensure scalable and flexible data architecture to achieve operational excellence and data reliability. Participate in creating and maintaining a data dictionary and catalog. Support efforts to address data debt by optimizing data structures and introducing robust management practices. Analytics and Insights Apply data modeling expertise to design and optimize data structures for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and model datasets, translating data requirements into actionable insights. Reporting and Analytics Enablement Support the development of advanced reporting strategies using data engineering tools to enhance efficiency. Assist in building ecosystems for self-analytics enablement, providing training and fostering informed decision-making
Profile/Skills
Educational and Professional Background Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred. Certifications: CSM, ITIL V4, and certifications in tools like Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau, AWS, Azure, or GCP. Technical Expertise Proficiency in: Power BI, Tableau, and SQL, including data modeling, visualization, and report development. ETL processes, data governance, and data integrity. Advanced Excel, Power Query, DAX, and Python for analytics. Microsoft Fabric, Power Platforms, Data Marts, Synapse Pipelines, and Azure cloud solutions. Domain Knowledge Experience in transit, transportation, or infrastructure domains is advantageous but not mandatory. Analytical and Software Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset. Substantial experience with project control tools and dashboarding software. Expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, with skills in Macros and coding as a plus. Additional Tools and Knowledge Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, SQL, Primavera P6, and Earned Value Management software is a plus.
