Account Manager, Glaucoma - Canada (Temporary Contract)

As an Account Manager, Surgical Glaucoma, you will be trusted to develop and manage the Alcon Surgical Glaucoma portfolio. This role will report to the Director of Surgical Sales. This position involves supporting operations for our glaucoma area go-to-market initiatives. This will be a short-term contract position.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Possessing and maintaining thorough knowledge of MIGS industry product information and other treatment options and technologies within Glaucoma.
- Training and educating surgeons and nursing staff in the OR to enhance surgeon knowledge and optimize use of Alcon surgical glaucoma products while creating selling opportunities. Leading technical education and clinical support programs to new users for Alcon portfolio including MIGS certifications.
- Achieving annual sales quota for Glaucoma, re-signing all core business, managing contract compliance, increasing penetration, meeting corporate ASP targets and supporting product launch goals.
- Effectively representing the financial interests of Alcon. Converting competitive accounts, leveraging barrier products, negotiating contracts together with DOS/BUH. Effectively responding to RFP’s and staying on top of reimbursement changes, increasing portfolio penetration, leveraging relationships, and new technology.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience.
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- 5 years of experience
- Prior experience in either Ophthalmology pharmaceutical or Surgical, Medical Device industry.
Preferred qualifications:
- Deep therapeutic knowledge in Glaucoma is strongly preferred.
